About Autumn
Born Jordan Ferguson and raised in southwest Virginia, Autumn Mooney (she/her) is an American author, indie singer-songwriter, voice-actress, and artist. She is also the founder and lead singer of the online indie band Pretty Outcasts, the website of which can be found at [LINK TBA].At age 11, Autumn was diagnosed with mild autism. She at first felt ashamed of needing special education being a little different from other kids, but with her family’s encouragement, she overcame her insecurity and excelled in her studies and passions! At age 14, Autumn gained an interest in voice-acting and began participating in plays and musicals in the Barter Youth Academy program. At 15, she gained an interest in writing stories. In college, she discovered she wanted to sing more often and joined choir. When it comes to singing, she has an alto vocal range.Outside of her creative projects, Autumn likes to watch horror movies, comedies, and cartoons, hang out with friends, go bowling, read fanfiction, and take naps.Do you want to get up-close and personal with Autumn’s work? Autumn’s mother named her Jordan after the character Jordan Mooney (portrayed by Elizabeth Shue) from the movie Cocktail (1988). At age 21, Autumn borrowed the second half of her stage name from the same character!
